Last week we had a presentation from Andy Martin. I first became aware of his work for this collaboration project we have just done after watching a video he made with Ian Macmillan the poet. Some stills of the video are below. In the animation Andy martin uses his graphic language to flow around the poem with sound effects. One thing he said that i found interesting was when he said the jobs he enjoys the most is when there is a tension between the text and the image. Where they dont just follow each other but can stand up on their own as individual works.
he said that his animation pieces allows him to brainstorm alot of work and with many different compositions.
