A huge World Expo is due to open in Shanghai, China in May.
The theme of the trade show will be "Better City - Better Life" and aims to showcase Shanghai as a major world financial and cultural centre.
The UK's contribution to the Expo is a Pavilion designed by Thomas Heatherwick, whose centrepiece "Seed Cathedral" is a six-storey cube-like structure, pierced by some 60,000 transparent acrylic rods which quiver in the breeze.
I think it's the most incredibly beautiful Jurassic park
fiber optic christmas tree building you can walk inside. The scale is
incredible, it hard to believe it actually exists as a building.
it moves and gives with the wind, like seeds carried in the air.
would love to visit shanghai to see this building i think you have to
see it up close to believe it. It's named the Seed Cathedral.
beautiful name for fantastic structure.
